Purpose of Position

Working within the Media team and reporting to a Media Strategy Director, you will be responsible for the planning, buying, implementation and management of integrated Media campaigns (across traditional/digital/search/social/programmatic) across our client base.

You will join a team of media experts to deliver the highest quality recruitment marketing campaigns for our global client base and will be expected to present media plans and research internally and potentially to our clients.

Having a passion for media and a curiosity about the roles/industries and geographies we work in, will be key to success in this role.

What does a great MediaAccount Manager do?

You will work with your media colleagues, helping us to drive our media and metrics offering and deliver ROI for clients, as well as the business, in all advertising activities.

You may be working across traditional media, digital display media, biddable media (search/programmatic and paid social) or a mix of all media channels – therefore some of the tasks and responsibilities will have more relevance to your role than others (dependent on your specialism).

  • Media and trends

You will maintain a depth of knowledge about the range of media options available, including Print, Out-of-home, Online, Social & Biddable media. In doing this you will develop and maintain relationships with local and international media suppliers. You will keep an eye on innovation at all times, including developments in new technology and mobile solutions.

  • Education: internal awareness and advice

As part of the wider client delivery team you will provide key insights and direction around best practice, to ensure the potential of media is realised by colleagues around the business. You will also share knowledge around thought leadership on the trends of media, both internally and externally.

  • Media Planning & Buying

You will work with the Media team to deliver media planning and buying for our clients – integrating a variety of media channel activity where applicable. Working with the Media Strategy Director, you will create cutting-edge, relevant media schedules with rationales that meet (or exceed) the brief, to sometimes challenging deadlines.

You will need to present to internal and external clients in a convincing way, whilst having the ability to identify opportunities for up-selling where possible. You will ensure the media channels WIP is updated weekly, checking and updating the centralised media email accounts for your team as appropriate, and responding to requests promptly. You will provide research support on local and international markets for use with the planning process.

  • Tenders/Pitches

Under the guidance of the Media Strategy Director you may be asked to contribute information to tenders, proposals, pitch and strategy documents and meetings.

  • Commercial Awareness

As part of the media planning process, you will negotiate and media buy with media suppliers to ensure the maximum revenues are achieved. You will have an understanding of the media team’s commercial priorities whilst remaining media-neutral in your recommendations.

  • Paid search management and optimisation

You will plan, implement and monitor paid search campaigns. You will ensure that all client goals and needs are met, to deadline, whilst managing client budgets and expectations. Through extensive research you will produce keyword lists and create compelling ad copy for campaigns.

  • Paid social management and optimisation

Paid social is a fast growing area of our business and as such, you will have to be able to deliver and develop our client’s social offering (e.g. via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn), ensuring that all campaigns meet our clients’ objectives.

  • Programmatic

You will be expected to get up to speed with the Programmatic world in order to be able to plan, brief and liaise with the TB360 or 3rd party trading desks. You will also be able to review the campaign, manage the reporting and feedback results to our clients.

  • Campaign optimisation and reporting

You will ensure that all campaigns are optimised by assessing their performance through timely qualitative and quantitative analysis and taking necessary actions. You will be expected to report on and present campaign performance and developments on agreed timescales.

Requirements for Consideration


  • Degree (or equivalent) qualified
  • Recent, relevant experience working in an agency or in-house team.
  • An understanding of cross channel media marketing strategies.
  • Experience of planning, optimising and managing media campaigns.
  • Highly developed attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to draw insights to make informed decisions.
  • Time management skills in order to prioritise work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with accurate use of punctuation and grammar.
